The Golden Basilica of St. Mark : history, theory and application of mosaic art
Throughout St. Mark’s Basilica we will view and read together the original stories of the Old and New Testaments in the ancient golden glass mosaics.
To better understand the artistic, decorative and architectural mosaics we will continue the visit after a short ride on the vaporetto water bus to see the private Orsoni laboratory where glass mosaics are still made today.
Of course we need a previous reservation according to their availability. On request, you can add a boat ride to Murano Island to visit the glass blowing in a famous glass factory.
