Behind the Frari Church there is the Scuola Grande di San Rocco where Tintoretto, the greatest mannerist painter of Venice spent almost 20 years decorating its ceilings and walls. You will see his personal interpretation of the Old and New Testaments (through a huge collection of canvases commissioned by the brotherhood dedicated to assist those inflicted with the plague).
The tour will end in to the Ca’ Rezzonico Museum, a typical Baroque and Rococo palace overlooking the Grand Canal: you will experience the luxurious decadence of the Venetian Aristocracy in the 18th century. Golden French furniture, Venetian mirrors, Chinese porcelains, Murano glass chandeliers and oil paintings, pastels, frescoes and tapestry.
